Wow bucket list complete! Fabulous family vacation at Laurie amazing property! Amazing biodiversity on the reefs and for a person like me that has several reef aquariums back home it was a dream come true. The reefs were pristine and untouched. At the end of the property at the deep water reef there was a gigantic underwater Venus sea fan garden with gigantic tangs, magnificent butterfly fish, sting rays, puffers and etc reef fish and large coral formations. I was really amazed to see coral and happy to see that coral is making a comeback to the Bahamas after bleaching events due to global warming. The small reef off the beach had a wonderful macro algae garden with Venus sea fans and corals. Amazed to see porites coral with Christmas tree worms and coco worms and feather dusters in the wild. Large Nassau grouper and tangs and colorful wrasse and even a cute puffer were there. There was a large blue cow fish that followed me and was curious. So cute! The beach was private and water so clear and blue as the sky. The house was beautiful and gave you a 360 degree of the reefs and ocean. We took great care of her home while we were there. Laurie was a great communicator and her caretaker Joseph was helpful. The only negative thing I could say was the noseeums. Even though we used bug spray they bit us bad! Only thing that seemed to work was skin so soft. Keep the doors closed so they don’t get in and don’t go out after dusk without bug spray. We also had some loss of electricity but eventually came back on. That’s Island life though. We were really sad to leave and could have stayed longer. We want to come back again in the future if her home is available. Thank you for allowing our family to come to your beautiful home and fabulous property. Really a dream come true.
