I can’t say enough good things about the house, location and experience with Laurie and Matt at Sayle Point House. Us, and another couple, had originally booked the house at the end of May but due to COVID19 and Bahamas restrictions we had to move to a new week in August. Laurie had no issues with working with us on finding that new week and even helped us organize flights over to the island as commercial flights were sparse and constantly getting cancelled. When we arrived to the island on a Saturday, Eleuthera was on a two week lockdown and we were unable to stop by the grocery stores to get food since they were closed till Monday. Elvis, the house watcher, had already stocked the fridge and house with food to get us through till Monday.
Due to the lockdown we were a little disappointed about spending all our time at the house, as we love to explore the island. But man were we pleasantly surprised! The house is everything you could possibly want and more. The snorkeling is great around the island and around the cliffs to the left of Rainbow Bay. The pool was amazing in the evening when you had too much salt and the outdoor speakers were the perfect mood setter. The kitchen and house had everything you would want to feel at home. The house had cornhole, cards, floats, beach chairs, beach towels and everything else you need to make a day of it. This is the perfect house for two or three couples or even two families with kids as the beach is literally right outside of your door. In addition, the house is centrally located on the island with two great grocery stores within 10 minutes of driving.
I can’t say enough good things about our trip and dealings with Matt & Laurie. We are counting down the days till we are able to get back
