Your very own private paradise!
Words cannot begin to describe how amazing this home and it’s location is, it’s truly paradise! The owners have thought of everything that anyone could ever ask for in a vacation. The location of this property is beyond PERFECT! You have your own private beach with a small island to explore in and out of the water. When the wind is blowing, the water on one side of the island has waves that crash into the rock and the other side, which is most visible from the home, is calm and serene. We loved the contrast, you felt like you had two different bodies of water in front of you!
In addition to the amazing water and views, the deck and the pool were fabulous! The owners recently purchased several large umbrellas that you could use for shade if the sun was too much for you. The pool is deeper and larger than it looks in the photos, we spent many hours having fun in it. The yard games (cornhole, spike ball, etc) were great on the days we just lounged around at the home…which was most as it’s a hard place to leave!
The home itself, is straight out of a travel magazine! Floor to ceiling views from EVERY SINGLE ROOM in the house. A/C works great, furniture was very comfortable. You will easily feel at home the second you walk in the door!
Eleuthera is a quite island, there aren’t a ton of tours but you can definitely find things to do if you want to venture out. We went on a boating excursion with Spanish Wells Ocean Safaris which we highly recommend! You tell them what you want to do and they make it happen. We spent a day on Harbour Island, driving a golf cart around and horseback riding on the beach. Took a few drives to places like Lighthouse Beach and Preacher’s Cave as well! Don’t miss the Fish Fry in Governors Harbour Friday nights, so much fun!
The restaurants were always good, great views & fresh seafood ! Hours can be tricky, do your homework, a few we wanted to try were closed days we visited. We enjoyed the Rainbow Room (close, has take out and 1/2 off Tuesday nights), Mel’s Snack Shack (nothing fancy but a good quick eat) Buccaneer Club, Fishbone in Savannah Sound (tricky to find but worth it) Frigate’s in Rock Sound, Unca Gene’s in Greg Town and New Sunset Inn.
Only complaint is that we couldn’t stay here longer, we had the most amazing vacation and hope to return! If you’re looking for a place to get away from work, the city, etc. there is no better home or location . Just go, best decision ever!
